Isn't she pretty in pink?

Here is something kinda fun.  Molly Ringwald is writing an advice column for The Guardian (UK).

First of all, they're calling her an "agony aunt", a term I had never heard. Guess its a general name for an advice columnist, a la Dear Abby.

Her PR people must be on some sort of binge because I saw a blurb interviewing her in The Wall Street Journal last week about her favorite song from childhood and then noticed an ad in The New York Times about an upcoming singing performance at the  Cafe Carlyle.
(Sidebar: Jeff Goldblum and Rita Wilson are also headlining there. Who knew these actors are also singers?)

By the way, I chose this photo of her because the one used for the UK advice column is really....not great.

Here is the link to a recent column, advice to a young man who's girlfriend wants to take a "break". Notice that right at the top of the article, just under the dateline, is a way to "jump to the comments".  I guess a lot of people enjoy reading others' reactions to the advice and, of course, adding their two cents worth.

Am I the only one who wishes she had this column 30 years ago? I would have asked her about all kinds of things.  And about Jake Ryan (sigh).
