I know I'm guilty of it. Planning or assuming I could use my device/phone to help kill time on a flight. Haven't gone so far as not having a paperback or magazine on me just in case, but I can see how you could get there. And with all of the hassles of flying these days, it can be the only thing that makes a flight bearable.
