The weather here in Chicago in the past thirty days has been as low as 12F and as high as 65F, so it's no wonder the jacket wardrobe has already been tested this year.
Last year I purchased an at-the-waist, "thin puffy" coat to use for both skiing and everyday wear. LOVE it.
However, it doesn't cover me bum.
So, my latest and greatest addition to the coat wardrobe is this one from Eddie Bauer, which I purchased in black (also available in this pretty teal and a fairly bright red).
Super thin weight but already proven itself on an aforementioned coldest day. Also scores points as car friendly, with a zipper at the top and bottom. Not too long, puffy or sleeping-bag looking.
At least I can cross one thing off the list, which in December is always a good thing!
