cacio en pepe


You're looking at the entire ingredient list for a yummy pasta dinner!

This simple past dish, a favorite of my husband's from our trip to Rome a few summers ago, is a very quick go-to one at our house.

In Italy, it's served as a first course but our family one eats one course so....this is it!

Here is the recipe - very simple ingredients but necessary to follow the steps exactly to guarantee perfection each time. (Note: I use Parmesan as a substitute for the cacio de Roma, which is harder to find).

Serve with a salad and required bit of bread to sop up any remnant of sauce left on your plate.
