Motherhood around the World
One of my favorite blogs to read regularly is Joanna Goddard's A Cup of Jo .
An on-going series of posts, called "Motherhood around the World", features guest writers who send in some surprising facts about parenting in other countries. The diary-style entries and fantastic photographs make these dreamy mini trips around the world easy to digest.
From the post from Germany describing compulsory maternity leave (which the writer points out is possible for a country with a low birth rate) to the entry from the Congo, where apparently sharing breast milk is completely normal, readers learn about day-to-day life from all corners of the world.
And I won't give away one fun fact about potty training in China that left me...dying for more info!
