Tangram Factory Smart Jump Rope
This jump rope caught my eye - it displays the number of jumps mid-air and/or links to your smartphone for an overall report once your done.  The product video link is here.  

According to the internet (and the American Council on Exercise) one should burn about 500 calories during a daily workout in order to lose weight.

Also reported: walking 1 mile burns approximately 100 calories and jumping rope burns approximately 10 calories per minute.

A reminder that the basics may be best long-term, realistic thing to do here.  As per usual.
