This might be something to DVR to watch with whomever in your family will watch with you.
Mercy Streetis a six-part PBS original series (premieres Sunday, January 17 at 10/9c). The
Civil War medical drama follows the lives of two nurses on opposite sides of the conflict who intersect at one Army medical hospital in Virginia and treat "wounded fighting men from both sides, runaway slaves, prostitutes, speculators and spies".
Whew. Not sure they can fit that into just six episodes, but I'm looking forward to watching them try.
