What was first downloaded at the insistence of my kids, I have reached for it a few times now to buy a song I've heard on a TV show or commercial that I like. I've used it in a store to find a song I liked while shopping.
You "activate" the app, push one button and it does the rest. Somehow, through algorithms and magical powers, the app is able to listen and identify the song. Of course you are now offered the option to purchase it. Or you can use the app to settle a bet: "Who sings this song?"
