The question mark at the end of the post title is just a tip off that I'm not so sure about some of these ideas to "disrupt" air travel.
Since our country has not invested in railway travel, air travel is what we are stuck with. I am glad to read carriers (and their suppliers) think it may time to try something new.
After all, if there is any sweet spot to be found, even a crumb of just neutrality, this is a noble cause.
This FastCoDesign.com article explains how a few new ideas, some the exact opposite of whats been done before, might just be the answer to returning to civilized air travel.
