We all know this gal. Or, perhaps you are this gal.

The type of glass used makes a spritzer feel more like a cocktail

We all know someone who seems to have been over-served on more than one occasion.  But I think it's fair to say it's happened to a lot of us- you start the night with a cocktail and before you know it, your head is swimming. Sometimes the drinks are stiff. Sometimes you didn't eat anything all day.

Whatever the case, now is the time to start a trend in your neighborhood and order (or serve) a Session Cocktail.

That's hipster for a lower alcohol drink.

Apparently the term comes from "session beer", which is beer that is lower in alcohol content.  One bartender in this Eater.com article about Session, Shim and Suppressor drinks noted the alcohol is used as a "seasoning" rather than a main ingredient.

Seems like the perfect time of year for something lighter anyway.  And it's more fun to order a Jimm's Cup or a Cassis Shim than a white wine spritzer, no?
