The first espresso in outer space?

You think YOU had a tough morning.  Try navigating life in zero gravity above the Earth...all without a decent cup of coffee.

And so over the weekend the battle cry, both made and answered by Italian astronauts, was heard. They might have a way to scratch that espresso itch and toss the instant stuff.

Turns out brewing a decent cup is not so easy in space. And tight working conditions make adding any extra gadget a "thing". But leave it to the first Italian woman doing a long-term space assignment to make this her mission as part of a study of fluid physics.

Here is her tweet from last weekend

"
Coffee: the finest organic suspension ever devised." Fresh espresso in the new Zero-G cup! To boldly brew...

I guess she will have some explaining to do to her countrymen about why it was French espresso and not an Italian cup, but something tells me she can handle any tough job.
