Even the tip jar is techy


This New York Times article caught my eye. I must admit that, on more than one occasion, I have been without enough cash to leave a tip for something I paid for with a credit or debit card.  I appreciate, as the customer, being able to add a gratuity (should I choose to do so) in the manner most convenient to me.

And I would definitely leave a tip if this was the tip jar:
