This time of year: When in doubt, head to Walgreens

Hot tip: Keep your receipts as your future self will never believe you
spent $79 on this stuff when your credit card bill comes in January.

First of all, you need tape. Trust me, you do.  Packing and scotch. Might as well grab another pair of scissors.

Gift card for a niece you're not sure what to get? Sparkling grape juice for the kiddies at Christmas Eve dinner?

  • Toilet paper
  • hair spray
  • nail polish remover (bottle under the bathroom vanity is always 93% empty)
  • deodorant (get the travel size - you're not sure you have one in the linen closet)
  • birthday card for that relative with a December birthday (don't forget first few days of January!)
  • hardware/school supply/candy aisle for stocking stuffers
  • coffee
  • one of those puffy manila envelopes (buy the two-pack even though you have one somewhere in the office from last year's two-pack)

If none of the above seem necessary, just drive over there and park. It'll come to you.
